Reading tastes are very different, so it’s always difficult to make recommendations.
Here are some of the books I’ve read and enjoyed recently, together with reviews I have written.
I’d be very interested to hear your opinions.
I have a Kindle, do you? I read everything on it.
This may not sound so remarkable to you, but if you’d asked me three years ago about electronic readers I would have told you in no uncertain terms “Reading is one of the great pleasures my my life. I love the feel and smell of a paper book, nothing can replace it”. Now I’m a total convert. The Kindle enhances my reading pleasure by making the books so convenient available (I am usually reading a fiction and non-fiction book in parallel), allowing me to search the book (when the plot is complicated I sometimes need to be reminded about certain characters or events – don’t you?), and giving me instant access to a dictionary (although I think authors should not use unusual words because they think it’s clever, sometimes the exact meaning can make a subtle difference to the understanding).
(No, I do not work for Amazon.)
