The Girl who Saved the King of Sweden by Jonas Jonasson

When people ask me ‘What is that book about?’ I can usually outline the story in a few sentences (without giving the ending away). I hope no one asks me about ‘The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden’. So much happens in this book that a few sentences could not do the story justice. To use a much overused expression from business ‘it ticks all the boxes’:
– an incredible story – YES
– a page turner – YES
– unforgettable characters – YES
– a mystery – YES
– written without trying to impress the reader with what the author considers to be ‘clever’ words – YES
If anyone can tell me what more you can expect from a book I would love to hear.
