Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts

There is some debate of how much this book is autobiographical from the author Gregory David Roberts. It doesn’t matter. This is story telling at its best. The violence is disturbing, the love is highly emotional, the loyalty is tear jerking, and the characters are all so well drawn I feel I know them personally.
I felt as though I was actually experiencing the events myself. One of the few books I could read again.
